When: All exhibit entries must be brought to the Arena on Wednesday between 2 p.m. and 9 p.m. Entries will not be accepted after this time.

General Rules

  1. The general Rules and Regulations apply to this class. 

  2. All canning (except those listed below) must be in 250ml or 500ml jars with rings and lids.

  3. Jams and jellies must be in 125ml or 250ml mason-type jars with rings and lids – no wax.

  4. Salsa, apple sauce, and relishes may be in 250ml jars with rings and lids.

  5. No recycled jars, e.g., mayonnaise jars. 

  6. All jars are to be free of mold and sealed (except for freezer jam).

  7. Prizes: 1st - $3.00, 2nd - $2.50, and 3rd - $2.00

 

Warning

Canned foods that have been opened have serious potential to grow bacteria and micro-organisms. Discard opened jars of food when you take them home after the Fair. Better to be safe than sorry.
